My Yoga Journey + Yoga Afternoon Events Reviews + Big Surprise Revealed!

I believe that if you’ve been following me for quite a while, you’ve noticed that I am not only fond of healthy food, nice details, expressive pictures (aka. perfectionism) and declaring my love for life, but also of the yoga world. It would not be easy to say how much it has brought me since the beginning; and to be honest, I would never have pictured me like so a few years from now. Before giving you crispy but only a few details on my yoga journey, as well as telling you about the events I threw and the big adventure I am about to start, let me just introduce it all to you with this. It took me days, months, and even years to come up with all these ideas and to have the courage to bring them to life. There’s no magic behind it, just a strong will, determination, passion and a hint of quirkiness. What I am about to tell you today might not appear to be that impressive (this is how …

Belly Bliss – SuperBerry, Avocado & Orange Smoothie

I know I’ve been sharing many different smoothie recipes for a few weeks, and that totally out of the blue. I just realised that the “liquid happiness category” of the blog was a little short on articles, which is why I decided to hopefully please your eyes and bellies with various smoothie combinations for you to enjoy of all their inner goodness. I’ll wait a little longer and am still thinking about giving you my best tips to create delicious smoothies, that do not only taste incredibly but have naturally beautiful virtues – let’s see if I’ll be able to put that down later. For now, let me introduce you to a fruity happiness – today’s Berry, Avocado & Orange Smoothie. I do not think there’s something better on earth than the fresh, acidic and yet sweet taste of berries in the morning. And yes there’s an avocado in this pink smoothie (what the hell is he talking about?! That’s it, he’s crazy…

What about a Healthy & Festive Sunday Family Brunch?

Thinking about it with a mature mind, I do not think there was something more enjoyable as a child than brunching with my family on the Sundays. We actually were only doing it rarely, as it was a special occasion treat, such as for birthdays or bank holidays. But every single time, the whole process of preparing it was grandiose! At that point, the part I was missioned to take care of was the table decoration, and I did adore it; taking our nicest plates out, elegant and shiny glasses and cutlery placed all around evenly, a few flowers here and there. That part did not really changed from what it is today; what has changed is actually the food we prepare (or I prepare for most times haha!). Back then, brunching would mean eating white bread, Nutella, cheese, delicatessen, butter and so on. But now, brunching means something totally different: rye bread toasts, spreads, buckwheat pancakes, chia puddings, fruit salads, smoothies…! And I believe this change is for the better; it’s not only healthier …

Monday Motivation – 19th of September

« Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud. » – Maya Angelou  I’ve been trying to read a little more for a couple of days. Creating recipes, writing articles, studying, practicing yoga and socializing do not leave that much space for another creative activity like reading. However, I know that I need that “literary brain food”, that sparkle of inspiration, these meaningful lines that usually make me fly away. Not only does it inspire me to bring a few changes now and then in my routine, but it really opens my mind and spirit to new ideas, discoveries and thoughts. Anyway, in one of my desperate attempts to take time and read a few lines, I came across Maya Angelou’s work and a few of her famous lines. Two of them really struck me; and this is one of them…

Matcha & Apricot Granola Bars

As I am sitting in my livingroom, at this long and massive golden birch table, my cats on my laps, a cup of warm green tea in my hands, I am thinking (this is such a perfect setting, not even wanted or invented for that matter!). It’s not a time for wise and sharp thoughts to appear, but it resembles more a thousands butterflies, flying free round my mind, fluttering their elegant and colourful wings around. It is interesting to see how bodies might change, just by thinking that some people might do a certain yoga posture and some other will never be able to. I’ve never thought about my table this way but it has gathered so many beautiful, sometimes heart-breaking, joyous or disastrous moments throughout the years. I wonder why my cat goes like clockwork – being perfectly aware when to wake us up, what to do to annoy us, when to come to ask for cuddles… These are the types of thoughts I am having at 6 am in the morning; but …

Superpower Green Smoothie

As summer slowly turns its back on us, shading a pink morning light and an early evening light on its way to sleep, the heat starts to mellow, which leaves us with some kind of nostalgia; it is time for many of us to wake up from that bright and golden summer dream, to come back to what we usually call reality. But so many things happened, for us all I guess, things that are essential to cherish and to come back to, in order to nourish that sparkle of happiness inside, that smile we can all draw on when life’s a little tougher. I would not even know where to start to describe what I’ve been living and how I’ve been feeling to this date. From meeting amazingly inspiring and uplifting people, living a life-changing (yogic) experience and focusing on my blogging passion (which also led me on self-questioning paths that truly were beautiful), to feeling like my heart and soul have never been so fulfilled, I feel like life really is good to …
