Spicy Pear, Lemon & Almond Winter Cake

I know my Millionaire Shortbread and Chocolate Brownie recipes to be the most appreciated ones on the blog, but I am quite sure this new Winter Cake recipe could have the delicious power to eclipse both of them. I’ve brought this cake to almost every party I’ve joined this year and every single person who tasted it either asked for the recipe or for me to bring them one at home. It is very simple to make, requiring a few basic ingredients, and takes almost no time. I am usually messing my entire kitchen up but I am quite sure you could make this cake only with two or three bowls… What’s more, its lightness and fruitiness would satisfy all types of sweet tooth. What I adore about this cake is that it’s not only very airy, light and fluffy (and thus may be eaten at any time throughout the day – even as a breakfast!), but has the best texture – crunchy a bit nutty, with pieces of fruits that melt into your mouth. …

Autumn Apple & Almond Muffins

Every recipe is attached to a personal story, a memory that bursts out from the past when eating a spoonful again, or when tasting the exact same flavours again. If only the smell that’s coming out of my kitchen right now could cross the space and time to find itself trapped into these lines; you would certainly get why this recipe is so marvellous! The apple trees swarming with delicate fruits, heavy drops coming down from the sky, toddlers giggly jumping right into rain puddles, dark clothes and comfy sweaters, night taking hold on the world a little more every day…autumn is settling in, bringing along a whole lot of delicious foods and flavours. I’ve always loved muffins; however, I much enjoy them as a dessert or for a five o’clock teatime, rather than for breakfast, simply because it is a little to light for me in the morning (I like my breakfasts to be my biggest meal of the day)…

Quick & Energizing Breakfast – Raspberry Chia Pudding

Now that I am almost halfway through my « Hot Yoga Teacher Training », it seems important to me to share a few of my month’s favourite recipes to stay healthy, energized and light in the morning. This one simply is perfect for those active mornings when I am running short of time and that my motivation still needs to be awakened. Today’s recipe is bursting with flavours, bringing smiles and happiness along its healthy way. The raspberries’ bitterness contrasts perfectly with the sweet taste of cinnamon, and the nice mix of texture between the almonds and the chia seeds make this breakfast a total winner, filling and gorgeous at the same time.

Special Edition – Almond, Dates & Chocolate Chips Cookies

When I was preparing those biscuits for the first time, the snow was falling and festive carols were echoing in the winter’s darkness, as we were slowly approaching the end of a tremendous year; what I wanted to do with those simply was to share a little piece of eatable happiness with my family and friends. However, I did keep this recipe a secret so that I could share it another time…and I believe the time has come for me to share it, especially in the current course of events. As you might have seen it already, with you reading those lines and my writing them down, an awful massacre is happening, among a population we’re quite alike. On the 12th of June 2016, a terrible attack has been made against human beings’ physical and moral integrity. Just like you, I am in shock; and it suddenly struck me, that I had to raise my voice and pay my respects for those lost souls, through the way I master the most. I realised it is …

Homemade Glorious Granola

I’ve been feeding on Granola in the morning since my very early childhood; passing from the so-called “Kellogg’s” to “Fitness” and even “Special K”, I can assure you that not only is their consumption tricky (I’ve been waiting for that sculptural body shape on the box for ages), but very unhealthy too! Indeed, your entire organism and machinery get clogged up by those kinds of store-bought products, just because they are full of refined sugar, preservatives and additives. But in case of a major bombing, that you’re locked up in your basement, and either left with an empty stomach or a bag of those flakes, well…you should eat them! As I was just starting to discover how amazing healthy food was, I’ve been directly seduced by all those mouth-watering pictures of homemade granola; but there were plenty of recipes out there, and many of them actually were quite deceiving. After many epic fails and travels (where I realised a bowl of granola and fresh fruits actually is one of the sole things I love to …
