Spicy Butternut Squash Soup

An early-autumn evening, round the equinox. Nights are getting longer, colder, and we’re all gathered round that large wooden table, tastebuds quivering, waiting for dinner to be served. The yoga retreat vibes were high, sharing laughs, heart-warming chats, positivity and love round. In a slow and delicate dance, our hosts started to place large plates under our nose – filled with an orange liquid, crowned with a dash of olive oil and radish sprouts, a mouth-watering, oriental and spicy smell coming out of them. Eager to taste it, we digged our spoons like one man – and there, replacing the joyous noise, a complete silence settled. The sound of happiness and contentment. The squash’s sweetness coupled with some delicious lemongrass, spicy ginger and creamy coconut milk – a game-changing soup. I had to ask for more. And I had to recreate it at home. So here you are. Enjoy! Yoga Retreat Inspiration: Spicy Butternut Squash Soup Portions: 4 people. Preparation time: 25 minutes. Cooking time: 45 minutes. Ingredients For one portion of curry paste: 2 …

Raspberry Mousse No-Cheesecake

Since January 5th (yes because the day of my arrival in the US was quite horrific), I have been living the dream. Living in an entire beach house by myself; opening my eyes to the bright coloured sunrise every single morning; practicing yoga, meditation and studying at university in the most enchanting and dreamy environment of all. However, there is one thing that I miss and realised I would never be able to live without (apart from my cats, mum and friends – still a human after all): a decent food processor. The one I’ve unearthed from a hidden cupboard is good enough to make smoothie bowls and matcha lattes – but that’s it. I thus realised how much my sanity was depending on energy balls, juices and mousse cakes, like the one I have prepared for you today. A slice of dream, a marvellous delight, all fresh, fruity and fluffy. A instant of surrender, where we let ourselves go and float in-between spiritual worlds. Even better than a yoga lesson (okay, well I am …

Grain-free Double Chocolate Chip Cookie

If you’re looking for an easy, quick, amazing, mouth-watering and not vain at all cookie recipe, well you’d better choose this one. When the colder months arrive, I usually am desperately looking for those deliciously chocolaty comfort foods, not only because chocolate is life but because my body needs some sun within if it does not get it from the sky itself. This does not prevent you from making them in the middle of summer of course. Did you know that a cacao tree is called a Theobroma Cacao, which means “Food of the Gods” ? And that cacao is actually one of the best stimulants + containing more antioxidants than any other food on the planet ? Well now you know! Anyway, those cookies are absolutely fantastic, scrumptious as a dessert and even better when eaten as a snack, as they are indulging but guilt-free and actually very good for you. Full of good and quickly metabolised fats, healthy carbohydrates and some superfoods, those really are a fridge’s must-have (you’ve still got to eat …

8 Ingredients Pancakes – A Simple, Quick & Mouth-watering Breakfast

I am a breakfast person. And as far as I know, I do not believe there is something trendier than pancakes for breakfast. Even though some other breakfast ideas do attract the spotlights, such as chia puddings, healthy granolas or smoothies, I’ve never seen so many pancakes on my Instagram feed or on the Internet. And the reason is we, food bloggers, are creating healthy versions of them, which do attract people’s attention more and more every day. I’ve been asked multiple times to share a pancake recipe on the blog, and I guess those people’s dreams have come true! (For a non-vegan recipe, you can click here !) There is nothing else you would want to wake up to; there is nothing else you would want to pour maple syrup on; there is nothing else you could sacrifice your sanity for. Well, let’s be honest, if you have got someone to prepare them for you, that’s even better. Waking up to those beauties is like discovering a hundred banknote in the side pocket of …

Why the Smartness & Tenacity portrayed in “Hidden Figures” will empower you like Nothing before

I am going out of my comfort zone. Me who like to talk about food, yoga and wellness in general, I am trying to inspire you channelling other sensations within you. The heat of tenacity, strength, togetherness and activism. Do not only give me the benefit of the doubt, but try to reflect upon what’s following, trying to take as much as you can from it; simply so that you can be empowered, too. What comes in mind when thinking about historical movies focusing on brilliant minds, we can expect, as Lenika Cruz puts it in The Atlantic, “a tale of ego”. Films like The Theory of Everything or The Imitiation Game do talk about those scientists’ struggles as individuals, but frame their lives as inaccessible – a genius that we, people, cannot even fancy. Hidden Figures sets apart as it is not a film of ego, but of brilliance. It’s a story of tenacity, willpower, strength and struggle; even though there is a little glorification of those characters, there’s no such thing as individual …

Awfully Delicious Breakfast – Maple & Cinnamon Chia Pudding

I cannot get used to time flying so quickly; it seems that as soon as I get accustomed to a situation, things are changing again, swapped for even more beautiful things though. It feels like we’ve just entered autumn, and yet, here we are, getting much closer to Halloween and the much colder season than ever. Even though this is quite unsettling, I kind of love how life is unfolding, giving us a little magic to dream on every single day. That rapidity also makes me realise we should all be so thankful to wake up the morning after, simply because life could stop at any time…But enough of this gloomy talk, let’s move on to something way more delicious – the very beginning of our Halloween Treats Collection!
