Easter Almond Scones w/ Coconut Yogurt & Raspberry Jam

I feel like I’ve kind of always been sensitive, not in an emotional way (of course, but that’s not the point here), but more in way of being affected by change, and that from very early in life. Whatever may the change be, related to the seasons, the temperatures or the weathers, just as well as environmental changes in general, I am so deeply affected by it that my emotions, mood and energy levels are all topsy-turvy. I do love change, which helps us break away from our own routine, from our habits, which makes us do things we would never have done, take risks, put ourselves in question. But as much as I love it, those emotions, mood and energy rollercoasters that come with it are very much tiring. For instance, since we’ve passed the Spring Equinox, I’ve been feeling either on a high or very tired and drained energy wise, as if this astronomic event has changed something in me. I do not know how you feel about that, but what I know …

Festive Chocolate Cake with a Hazelnut Frosting

Don’t you feel like these days are the worst of the entire year? You’ve celebrated Christmas with your families and friends, eaten way over your belly capacity, received wonderful presents – books, clothes, unidentified objects or money – as well as touching words & wishes, all of this with glitter on your face and dancing shoes on your feet. And now what? We’re crawling out of bed, wearing sunglasses to hide our lack of sleep, walking (and not tiptoeing) with a coffee in one hand and a glass of lemon water in the other, trying to flush out all the dirt we’ve accumulated in out bodies, crying because we’re not being offered gifts anymore, waiting for it to start all over again on New Year’s Eve. (Well ok, I am pushing things a little too far, but I am sure every one of us felt at least one of these things haha!).

A Healthy Twist to Your Christmas Eve Dinner

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year My Darlings! Yes indeed I am a little early, but if you’re reading these lines, it might mean that you’ve been following me for quite a while. And therefore, you deserve all my warmest and best wishes as well as a whole lot of deliciousness at the end of what have been a tremendous, sometimes hard, but amazing year. Wherever you are, whoever you are, whatever your doing, I am thanking the simple but beautiful human being in you, the light inside you I am trying to set fire to with my positive energy. I am creating this world for you to feel welcome into, to feel at ease; I want you to take whatever you like and to throw away the things you do not. If there’s one thing we have to remember at the end of the day/year, is that apart from all being equal and IMperfect (but exceptional), it’s essential for us all to cultivate our inner beauty and to use it to inspire others; if …

Cauliflower, Tomato & Chickpeas Garam Masala Curry

I bet that many (at least what people tell me) of you are stopped from eating a little healthier or simply taking time to prepare your own meals because you’re a busy bee. Take care of oneself is not only a matter of time but of organisation and routine; as soon as you start giving that specific thing some time in your life, you’ll never really think about it again. Let me explain. At first, and like people usually believe my life to be, I was kind of overwhelmed with it all. I had to prepare my breakfast, my lunch and even dinner sometimes, and was rushing all round the house and kitchen like crazy to find my ingredients (and I am not even mentioning the stress of a lack of a few…!) and some inspiration. And at that time, I used to spend hours preparing my food. But when I started doing my “meal preparation” (aka meal prep.) on Sunday, it truly changed my life. I am never asking myself what I’ll eat during …

Sweet Potato Spaghetti, Tomato Sauce & “Meatballs”

There is no way I could express myself to tell you how good it feels to back at writing. Now that the weather has gently started to switch to something colder and more wintery, which is kind of my favourite, there’s nothing that feels righter that studying/blogging/photographing from the comfort of my home. But first, if you’d like to know what has happened last week, let me just grab my thermos of chai tea, some cookies and let’s step into that time machine together. As my week was wrapping up and that I was quietly hitting the weekend, I felt quite normal. I knew I would probably spend it studying, procrastinating a few less important things even though there’s nothing I despise more than this, teaching my Saturday yoga class and surely cook a little. But I was not expecting those heavy black clouds to cover my seeming happiness, and to stay right there for more than a week…

Healthy Carrot Cake Inspired Muffins

I guess we can all reckon it has been a very intense and emotional three days. I thought about today’s article quite a long time before even starting to write down those words. Even though I want this blog to be a digital world for me to inspire, to show you all how happiness and gratefulness may be found in the simplest ways, I feel like it is my mission to speak out and express my feelings. It is not as if, us food bloggers and even you, dear reader, could avoid what’s happening out there, in the real world. I am not going to fiercely stand up for my opinions here, which might just as well contradict with yours, but I really want to make sense out of those days’ situation, to bring another point of view than the ones we’re hearing across the medias. I want to show that there’s still hope, in every single situatin you’re into, hidden beneath those layers of anger, fear and distress…
