The (Grain-free) Fig Tart of Your Dreams

This is one of those non-recipes I am actually inspired to make and randomly post on Instagram, which end up prompting people to ask me for the recipe. But I would be lying saying I did not lay the groundback by taking different pictures of it…just for efficiency purposes! Anyway, I am not sure whether it is because figs have this inspiring effect on me or that I’ve got that creative juice inside, but I feel very much creative those days – hence this grain-free fig tart. After a long and tiring summer, I’ve ended up going nuts at the very end of it, mentally just as well as physically. I needed a drastic change in my routine and lifestyle, because even though I’d been away from university for quite a while, I was working so much my body could not keep up the pace anymore. I was feeling tired, out of energy, unable to share my light and glow both digitally and directly and very much out of health. I have been thinking about …

Guest Recipe: Susan’s Pomegranate Halva

A gloomy and grey sky, crispy air, an uncertain and yet powerful wind blowing inside my hair, chilling my body to the bones. All wrapped up in layers, coats and wraps, heading to a bunch of meetings, I catch myself thinking about about my life and how grateful I am for it. The usual effect of winter days and too early Christmas Carols. I wonder what I’ve done to be worthy of all of this; hard work for sure, nothing’s ever achieved without that. But maybe the deep and strong belief that I am the greatest and only leader, hero and leader of my own life. Just like the one that says you cannot change the people and their reactions, you can change your way to cope with it all, your reactions and most importantly, your actions. I strongly believe we can have it all. We can do everything we set our mind and intention to. Maybe that’s what pushed me onto this path, along with passion, imagination & great support for sure. All of this …

Oven-baked Figs + Grain-free Seed & Honey Crumble

After a more than busy summer 2017, whose end’s been marvellous (ended up living the most beautiful experience of my life during an Autumn Equinox South of France yoga retreat) just as well as horrific (my digestive system illness got worse due to too much stress, work overload and simple exhaustion), I am FINALLY back into my digital world! And I cannot express how much I missed it! To celebrate this comeback, just as well as our well-deserved entry into Autumn (after a beautiful summer season for you I hope), let me introduce you to my favourite and very secretive exotic fruits: figs. It is indeed delicious to bite directly into their juicy and sweet flesh, but it’s even better to bake them into your oven! With a “tastes of Autumn” inspired recipe, this is what I am inviting you to do today. Take a book, a cup of tea, a lovely and warm spot in your home and cuddle up with those + your oven baked figs (and let your mind wander to unknown …

Grain-free Double Chocolate Chip Cookie

If you’re looking for an easy, quick, amazing, mouth-watering and not vain at all cookie recipe, well you’d better choose this one. When the colder months arrive, I usually am desperately looking for those deliciously chocolaty comfort foods, not only because chocolate is life but because my body needs some sun within if it does not get it from the sky itself. This does not prevent you from making them in the middle of summer of course. Did you know that a cacao tree is called a Theobroma Cacao, which means “Food of the Gods” ? And that cacao is actually one of the best stimulants + containing more antioxidants than any other food on the planet ? Well now you know! Anyway, those cookies are absolutely fantastic, scrumptious as a dessert and even better when eaten as a snack, as they are indulging but guilt-free and actually very good for you. Full of good and quickly metabolised fats, healthy carbohydrates and some superfoods, those really are a fridge’s must-have (you’ve still got to eat …

8 Ingredients Pancakes – A Simple, Quick & Mouth-watering Breakfast

I am a breakfast person. And as far as I know, I do not believe there is something trendier than pancakes for breakfast. Even though some other breakfast ideas do attract the spotlights, such as chia puddings, healthy granolas or smoothies, I’ve never seen so many pancakes on my Instagram feed or on the Internet. And the reason is we, food bloggers, are creating healthy versions of them, which do attract people’s attention more and more every day. I’ve been asked multiple times to share a pancake recipe on the blog, and I guess those people’s dreams have come true! (For a non-vegan recipe, you can click here !) There is nothing else you would want to wake up to; there is nothing else you would want to pour maple syrup on; there is nothing else you could sacrifice your sanity for. Well, let’s be honest, if you have got someone to prepare them for you, that’s even better. Waking up to those beauties is like discovering a hundred banknote in the side pocket of …

Easter Almond Scones w/ Coconut Yogurt & Raspberry Jam

I feel like I’ve kind of always been sensitive, not in an emotional way (of course, but that’s not the point here), but more in way of being affected by change, and that from very early in life. Whatever may the change be, related to the seasons, the temperatures or the weathers, just as well as environmental changes in general, I am so deeply affected by it that my emotions, mood and energy levels are all topsy-turvy. I do love change, which helps us break away from our own routine, from our habits, which makes us do things we would never have done, take risks, put ourselves in question. But as much as I love it, those emotions, mood and energy rollercoasters that come with it are very much tiring. For instance, since we’ve passed the Spring Equinox, I’ve been feeling either on a high or very tired and drained energy wise, as if this astronomic event has changed something in me. I do not know how you feel about that, but what I know …
